On the very first month of the new year, I would like to share with you guys on my new journey in the year 2023.

I started a new job in Q4 2022, at this point I have already worked for 1 year and 3 months in this role. So, I think it is great time to start reviewing my past 1 year 3 months of learning journey as a Planning Analyst and start to plan out what's next!

Let’s start with defining my role and responsibility as a Planning Analyst.

My Main Role and Responsibility

My main role is to calculate the capacity/tool time needed for the upcoming request.

1. Monthly Cycle Capacity Analysis

Collect data and prepare for scheduled monthly capacity analysis, typically complete in a 4-week timeframe, consisting of 4 processes:

  1. Data collection for the upcoming 6-month request.
  2. First report preparation, calculating the capacity…
